Linkable emails in form results, Linkable emails in form results Options

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction?

I commonly use formmail in HTML to collect information and email the results somewhere.
This most often happens using PHP or ASP.

When I return the email address of the person who has completed and submitted the form I would like the email address to be clickable in the resulting email that is sent by formmail to the recipient. That way the person replying to the submitted form can just click the linked email address in their email client and send a response without having to cut and paste the address into a new email.

How does one accomplish this? I assume I have to modify the formmail.pl or formmail.asp script in some way?
What is the syntax or set of functions I could use to accomplish this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
