Hi gang. I've been up all night and my brain isn't working. Can someone take a look at http://onemansblog.com in IE and give me a suggestion how to get the background color on the blockquotes to stop covering the images? You'll see it here specifically: http://onemansblog.com/2007/04/16/motivation/
It's working fine in FF and Opera... Thanks, John |

Which IE version? It's showing fine in IE7 (some of the stuff at the right appears to be off by a couple milimeters but otherwise everything seems okay)

I seee it too (IE6). Odd. I don't understand why the blockquote is on top of the image. You don't use any positioning that I can see. It's something outside that .postconten DIV that affects it. I cut it out and it works on its own. You have some fishy Ps on the lose there BTW, but fixing that doesn't fix the image problem.

Ok Pandy, first of all, where'd you get that Avatar?!? You kill me!
Secondly, what do you mean when you say "I cut it out and it works"? What exactly did you do? And yeah, Wordpress wraps everything in P's not much I can do about that... John |

QUOTE Ok Pandy, first of all, where'd you get that Avatar?!? It looks like a slightly edited version of one of the photos of Jakob Nielsen on useit.com. |

QUOTE Ok Pandy, first of all, where'd you get that Avatar?!? You kill me! From Jakob. QUOTE Secondly, what do you mean when you say "I cut it out and it works"? What exactly did you do? I cut the code for that DIV out, pasted it into another HTML doc and looked at it with your style sheet. QUOTE And yeah, Wordpress wraps everything in P's not much I can do about that... Wrapping is fine, but it's nested wrongly. You have a <p> before the image. The </p> is found inside the blockquote, just at the end. But it doesn't matter for this. I just saw something. I may have an idea. Give me 2 minutes to test. |

That is an interesting little bug in Wordpress. It may be fixed in newer versions but I'm a few revisions behind. I fixed that problem by simply putting the image on a different line than the Blockquote, but that doen't solve the problem. The thing is, it's just like layers in Photoshop and I just want to move the image layer up one. John |
