I want to buy a new laptop for my brother, he's 17 years old now and want to be a web desinger. I research on Google found 3 top laptop brands on http://thebestlaptopbrands.com/ but i need more advice because you guys are web designer too. What laptop should i buy, for $700?

Did Macbook is great for web designer, coder?

Any computer will do, it's more about what you (or in this case he) can do with it.
And I doubt if you'll find any Apple laptop at the price you mention.

As Fredieriek said there is not a specific computer, at most get him something that can run Photoshop to make graphics but code wise a netbook would do fine.

I would strongly STRONGLY advise a windows laptop. It can contain so many programs for design and production that I can't always get on a Linux or Mac.
I would advise a windows 7 as I think it is easily the best by far.

Unfortunately Photoshop will cost as much as your $700 computer!

It will be probably impossible to find Macbook with Photoshop with this budget as it is only $700.
