Hi everyone !

Please review mycoloredlinks.com. Should I change the black background or not ? Some people say I should but this is the only color wich makes the colors of the links more pronounced. What do you think ?

Black does seem to be the color that works the best. Any shade of gray would wash out the colors, and white would just drown out the colors completely.

You may want to run those pages through a validator.

The problem with a black background and brightly colored text is that it has become associated with shady sites, like pr0n and warez sites.

What about a dark gray? Something in the vicinity of #4E4E4E, or something with a little color but very low saturation like #005050. I just grabbed those colors to show what I mean. There probably are better ones.

And yeah, you really need to run that through the validator. smile.gif

How about a dark forest green? Look at #063217 (or the closest web-safe equivalent) and play in that general neighborhood to see what happens.

As what have Pandy said, gray background would probably do the trick or any shades of it.

Your idea for your website as a directory is quite unique happy.gif
