I created my site in dreamweaver... had no issues with ftp or server, according to my account details my website is there but if my url is entered it goes to:
The website declined to show this webpage HTTP 403 Most likely causes: This website requires you to log in. What you can try: Go back to the previous page. More information This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage. Are you sure the URLs are correct? Note that case of the filenames matters, e.g. "index.html" and "Index.html" are not the same.
If the server does not consider "Index.html" a directory default file and if directory listing is disallowed it might give a 403 response. |

Yeah, I've seen hosts (especially free ones) whose servers are peculiarly configured to return 403 when directory listing is denied.

MHM this might be an issue too, signed up to big pond for hosting..... this was worse 'cos couldn't upload the ftp at all... tried free server... and it uploaded but wasn't veiwable, lol...... time for a new server thanks for the response |

Well, if that is the problem, that is you link directly to a directory and lack an index file, you could alwayse provide the index file they require. I notice you say "htm" above. Try index.html if you have index.htm now.
