HTMLHelp Forums _ Web Site Functionality _ Wordpress driving me nuts

Posted by: strungout911 May 13 2011, 11:13 PM

Hi everyone! First timer..

I have been working a little on this website. What I would really like to be done with it is add a separate page (...com/blog). This is where I would like to publish news, promotions, articles on insects or whatever, etc..

BTW, if you would want to see the site, its globeexterminators dot com

If I put a link on the main horz nav, named "news", or whatever. I would like it to open to /blog. So, you can see the main content area on the pages - that is where I would like the announcements/ articles to be.
Then, also, maybe replace the newsletter signup on the right nav with something that shows the recent posts...

I don't know, it seems so simple to explain but it's not.

I have actually been looking quite extensively on my own and can't seem to find much. A lot of people will say to just run you're whole site through wordpress, but I am not really feeling that idea. Isn't there a good tutorial somewhere for this. It seems like it would be such a common thing.

I mean, can't I just call the articles written and put them into the main content div of the site? Or, do I need to create a replica theme in wordpress (how)? Or what?

I feel like an idiot to not be able to figure this out on my own..

Thanks, very much!
