HTMLHelp Forums _ Markup (HTML, XHTML, XML) _ Hoverable Dropdown problems

Posted by: Jokkela Dec 9 2019, 04:19 AM

I have a huge problem with my dropwdown. It seems to duplicate or something. I have the buttons ordered in the top right corner. And the dropdown works fine over there. BUT under the buttons but to the far left they appear again, but they're not visible. So when i hover my mouse over there the dropdowns appear. PLEASE help me fix this problem! Thanks in advance:) I'll leave the html5 sheet and the css sheet as an attachment.

Hej! tongue.gif

I don't see any duplication. Afraid I don't see anything dropping down either.

More importantly, with the browsers I tried the buttons line up as you say only in older gecko. In newer gecko they are stacked on top of each other. In Edge they are in the middle, behind the black bar.

Did you download them and put them in the same folder?

Download what? The images? You didn't provide them. I saw where the broken image icons were. Mostly not where you want them.

I see what you mean now. I expected a drop down menu. Anyway, the buttons still aren't where they should be in most browsers. And still no duplicates.

ah shiet i need to provide the pictures for the buttons too. hm

No need. I used a dummy image.

I didn't expect that to make a difference, but it did. Now all buttons are in a vertical column to the left. In all browsers.

Do you really see what you said with just the files you uploaded? If so, in what browser?

Ignore the strikethrough text above. I screwed up and saved the edited index in the wrong folder. It's exactly the same as before with the dummy images.
