I have just launched my own business (www.seedprints.co.uk) and I am designing the website in Photoshop myself. I'm quite confident about doing this but I have absoloutley no knowledge about the technical side of website building!
I have used FTP surfer to upload a temporary homepage (I transferred the document into word and saved it as a web page/html document) but I would now like to add further pages and I am unsure how to do it.
My homepage will have a list of the pages - ie 'products' 'contact' 'info' etc. I would like to be able to click on these and be linked to that page.
I also need to be able to upload individual designs that can then be viewed by scrolling through, using arrows.
Any advice on how I can do this would be gratefully received!
Hopefully I have explained myself properly!
Many thanks
Tara

Maybe you should draw out exactly how you want it so we can help.
Most likely you don't want just a plain set of links just sitting there.
And about the designs I don't really understand.
If you tell me exactly what you want(colors, fonts, styles) I can help.

Start by reading through Where can I learn about HTML? and How do I create a link?. Many more references and FAQs on this site may be of help. Look into CSS too. Then, when you get the grip, you can start thinking about the scrolling designs. Do one thing at a time.

BTW, does Photoshop output all that MS stuff in your site's html page? If so, the use Photoshop for what it does well, images, and use a text-editor for HTML and CSS.

Thanks for your reply. I will have a look at the links that you have suggested.

I see you used MS Word to output the HTML. Surely that's why there's all that M$ crap in your code. Don't use such software, as it is known to output horrible code. Use a simple text-editor instead. With the help of all the info you can find, in this site and elsewhere on the web, I'm sure you'll be able to write your own pages properly.

And if you have any questions, you know where to post them.

Good luck.
