Will Chrome users stop visiting all non-HTTPS sites now (including htmlhelp.com), or will users learn to ignore this warning message too?
A good thing about HTTPS for everything is that it limits ISP spying on users. But no doubt Google's real reason for pushing this is to prevent competition from ISPs in monetizing user data, and also to draw attention away from Google's own spying (e.g. through Google Analytics, which is not affected by HTTPS).
What crap the web has turned into.
