Hi everyone.

I am using a HTML page to pass installation instructions to a user.
I would like to add a CLOSE button to the HTML to close the window when the user is ready.
Closing the window will allow the Installer to continue.
I have done this is the past using the HTML help editor, but cannot find a way of doing it on a normal HTML page.
Can anyone help me?

John

You can't do it with HTML. You can do it with JavasScrript, 'window.close()', but if the window wasn't opened by JavaScript a warning prompt will pop up.

Hi Pandy & Darin,

Thanks for your reply. I see what you mean about the error message. I think I will just tell the user to use the CLOSE button in the top right corner!

Many thanks

John
