Hi smile.gif

Basically, I have no idea how to code, but I'm a good scavenger and play with bits of it till they do what I want, so given enough time I get what I want. Spent about 3 nights/6 hours playing with my profile on firefox, deciding I wanted to get it into shape on my preferred browser beore tweaking it to work for the rest.

During this process though I decided to use %'s instead of pixels and such, to try and keep it as standard as possible across resolutions.

Now I come to convert it this has given me problems for IE.

Can any of you find inclevergent fellows help out? smile.gif

My coding is obviously available upon request.

Domo.

Oh and opinions on my little selector box.
I may make it into a mouseover instead of the drop downs, or even scrap that and make a flash input which shows your choice in a central object, although I believe that would be more trouble than it's worth for me, where as the rollovers should be easy enough, and probably look better tongue.gif

When in doubt, fix the validation errors reported by the W3C

lol i meant with CSS

im apt enough at html, and understanding the style sheets and such is fine, just I don't know as many css tricks as I do html.

and thanks Peter smile.gif I just had a quick look at that, so would fixing those make it eligble for multi-browser viewing?

Fixing the errors reported by the validator will help, but there's more wrong than that.

Percentages don't really help since you're positioning everything. Positioning with percentages just means that stuff overlaps with smaller browser windows. (I get overlapping content even with a maximized window.)

I don't understand the "selector box" thing. It looked like some kind of survey, but then the select elements contain content. It looks like the first option should be a heading, that the rest should be combined into a paragraph or two after the heading.
