In my studies I found HTML <embed> Tag. Is this used in the real world because you have
<img> tag to display a picture
<iframe> tag = to display HTML
<video> tag = to display video
<audio> tag = to display audio

Not for a long time. The EMBED element was invented for the old Netscape browser, and it has never been part of the W3C specification.

You may want to use DEL here, Christian... tongue.gif
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/We...L/Element/embed

I don't find it in the current spec, but that's probably because I don't know where to look. It's so darn hard to read. What happened with the nice list of elements the specs used to have? But I googled this up.
https://www.w3.org/TR/2011/WD-html5-author-...ed-element.html

So I'd say EMBED has become kosher.

At least it wasn't part of HTML4. blush.gif

So I'd say EMBED has become kosher.

It appears to be used for general undefined plugins. unsure.gif But note that Flash (in their code example) is no longer supported by browsers.

Thanks for the link. I guess I've just looked at w3c. That's another thing. HTML5 is spread all over the place. I miss the old specs. Didn't understand them at first either, but I learnt to and then they became crystal clear. Well, most of the time. happy.gif

Good use of DEL there! laugh.gif

Come on! Surely I'm a little more fantastic? And prettier! Just look at our avatars! And I haven't needed to use DEL. Not since you came here anyway. laugh.gif
