Hi,

I have a query to ask.

Background information

Now i have a project in my hand where the user, when he opens the web page, has to give in a set of values, these values are fit into an equation and the value for the constants(in the equation) are to be found. all this stuff is done in a software OCTAVE similar to matlab

Main information,
now coming to this website, i need to call this software Octave (assuming that the OCTAVE software is available)and pass the user's value into a program file which is an executable file in OCTAVE)
Is this possible in HTML...I tried going through many tutorials but this ain't helping me much.
Any suggestions will be welcome

Thanks
Madhu

QUOTE(Darin McGrew @ Jan 10 2007, 12:49 AM) *

thanks, i actually read that before in one of the previous questions asked regarding running of apps on websites.
But here it is an university and this will be an intranet page where students of relevant courses can only view that webpage.
So security must not be a problem.

i did also read about java-scripting..unfortunately...i do not know java scripting.

i did try the ahref command, but i am not able to open a Maple worksheet
Thanks
Madhu
