Hello all. Looking for a little help/guidance on a lab that was given today in class and is due Sunday by Midnight. It's a doozy from my perspective, as we have to build everything from scratch, and can't use any Dreamweaver Templates.

I've attached the lab zip folder, which contains the lab instructions and the blank css and index files. All help and advice will be welcome.

And also, if these aren't the right forums, or if there is perhaps a more appropriate site for me to be asking this, please let me know, because I can use all the help I can get.

Thanks.

How far have you got and what are the stumble points? No one is going to do the whole thing for you.

It's ok to ask here, as this concerns HTML & CSS, though I don't know what a "lab" means here.
Anyway, you can't expect anyone to do the work for you. Ok, you can't use DW, which is a good thing.
Have a look at Layout Gala, which provides 40 basic layouts. Tweak the one that resembles your needs.
If you don't know how to make an image gallery, go see http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menu/ or use jQuery.

Isn't the purpose of the assignment that the student should create his own layout from the instructions?

Surely, but at least the links will help to get a grasp of things.
We've seen lots of students here left in the dark with an assignment they didn't know what to do with.
