Is it correct that it will be offered as a critical Windows update? In that case it will probably spread pretty fast.

Ah, but maybe they see it as a security update and then everyone will get it anyway. Besides, I don't think the validation is much of a showstopper. The web was full of ways to get around it within days, IIRC.
The stinker is that it requires XP or Vista. |

It's a release candidate -- basically the final product, almost ready to be released, unless someone somewhere finds some fatal bugs. At this stage, everything is complete. You mean it's anti-microsoft of microsoft to force people to buy their latest OS to test-drive their new browser? I tend to agree. Thank heavens for VNC.

Of course you need A OS. What I'm saying is that I don't want to buy yet ANOTHER Windows OS to be able to test pages in their new flagship.
