So, the above is the general concept for the page. The graphic is just sort of a placeholder until I come up with something a little cleaner, but the above is the general layout. I don't have much CSS experience, and I'm just sort of teaching myself as I go, but I have the page looking roughly how I want it... in Firefox. For some reason it's just not formatting correctly in IE, and I'd like the page to be viewable from either browser. Does anyone know what I can do to make this page functional in IE?

ALSO, bonus problem: the menu at the right is supposed to contain links. The pages they're pointing to don't exist yet, but for some reason the links aren't functioning as links at all. They don't even seem clickable. What about my code is preventing those links from working?

Thanks!

The online tools report markup and CSS errors:
http://htmlhelp.com/cgi-bin/validate.cgi?u...mp;warnings=yes
http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validat...g=1&lang=en

Regarding the mouse clicks not reaching the links, div#foreground is positioned on top of the rest of the page, covering the links (and everything else).

Thanks for pointing out the reason for the broken links. Is there a way to achieve what I'm trying to do with everything being visually behind my foreground image, but without it blocking the functionality of the links? I realize I could split it into three images and leave the big blank area out, but because of the transparencies, I'm still going to run into "zones" where the links don't work doing that, right?

Also, I appreciate the online tools links, but they didn't seem to identify anything substantial. Can anyone see any issues with the code that would be preventing IE from reading the page correctly?
