I created a redirect and don't want the folder I'm redirecting to to be show in the address bar. How would I do this?

For example, the people will be coming to
www.mydomain.com/newfolder
but I want the address bar to say only
www.mydomain.com

I've got all of my wordpress blog entries in this folder and I'd like none of the url's to show the folder in them, if possible.

thank you!

Is it just the URL you want to hide?

Or do you want to prevent listing of all the other files in the directory (if a user would actually request www.mydomain.com/newfolder)?

Or do you want to prevent access to even individual files in the directory (if a user would actually request www.mydomain.com/newfolder/foo.html)?

Thanks for your quick reply.
Here's the thing:

I have all my wordpress files in a folder called "testing" ... when I changed the name, since it's live, not testing anymore, all of the files could not longer be found. Wordpress was looking for the folder named "testing".

I don't really care if people see the other file names in the directory ... I only want to hide the name of the folder "testing" ... does this make sense?

So I want people to be able to go to
mydomain.com/testing
or mydomain.com/testing/?page_id=9
without seeing the word "testing" ... it would be ok if they saw ?page_id=9 and/or mydomain.com ... as long as they don't see "testing"

Thanks again!

If your server is Apache you might use http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/misc/rewr...de.html#content in a .htaccess file.
