Usually, the login/registration function is built into some other server-side system (for example, a forum or a chat site). What does your web site do, once visitors are registered and logged in?

Then the login feature needs to be built into your ecommerce system.

What server-side programming (e.g., CGI, PHP, ASP) is available on your server?

Perhaps one of these PHP shopping cart programs will meet your needs:

He's trying to help. But I think you may have a big misunderstanding.

Writing a website commerce system, using PHP and MySQL (for example) is not impossible -- I have done it myself -- but it is a programming job. Unless you have some programming experience, you probably need to expect to spend 6 months or a year learning about programming before you can start. The alternative is to use a system built by someone else, such as oscommerce, which does not require programming experience as such, but has other disadvantages. The main one is that it is a *solution*, whereas programming languages are *tools*. When you learn to use tools, you can do anything (almost!), but when you use someone else's solution, you have to do "solutioneering", which means manipulating your problem into just the right form so that the solution fits.

HTH
