Dear All,

hope I'm in the right spot to search for help.

I have uploaded my website via FTP onto my server.
As I'm in Japan I put the index.html in the root folder and the other sites in a subdirectory /jp/othersites.html .
After uploading all, (including htaccess and robots) I ve got the folowing message.

Not Found
The requested URL was not found on this server.

with a weird extension wacko.gif

https://www.skillaccessgerman.com/jp/jp/jp/jp/jp

I even don't know how to name this issue. sad.gif

If someone could name this issue I would be able to search for the right solution.

Thanks a lot and comments are very much appreciated

Tom

Take it again please, slowly. Do you try to go to another URL than that jp/jp/jp.. one and get redirected there somehow? What URL do you try to go to?

Thanks Pandy for your reply.

I read that for SEO purposes in case of "a different language, in my case JAPAN, it would be better to put websites except the index.html into a subfolder with the country code. Here /jp

What I did:
www.skillaccessgerman.com
should go to the
index.html

and the other websites are placed in a subfolder
/jp/other_sites.html

Do you understand what I mean? Sorry if my explanations are confusing!

Dear Pandy,

somehow it works now.
I redirected the domain to a different website on my server.
And then again to the original website.
Maybe it was a catcher problem.

Anyway, it works now. Thanks alot for your support. Have a great day where ever you are!
