"Some" may get the upgrade for free... Does that mean that they may force it on us, as they did with Win10? 🥶

Might as well start planning for the Linux migration right away, just in case. wacko.gif

I don't want to migrate. I like my Windows programs. 😢

"The new design and sounds are modern, fresh, clean and beautiful, bringing you a sense of calm and ease."

That doesn't quite describe what I'm feeling. laugh.gif

Seems Microsoft is stirring up viral marketing drama as usual, by requiring a PC with Trusted Platform Module 2.0.

At least this means they can't force owners of non-supporting hardware to upgrade. Instead I think I read support for Win10 will end in 2025 already, but if people will hang on to their old PCs maybe it will be extended more.

I found a long thread at some tech forum. Alas I didn't bookmark and couldn't find it again. Anyway, they all sounded as computer savvy people and they whined about modern interfaces and especially icons. That the icons and other things aren't easily recognizable anymore. They all look the same at a quick glance and need to be interpreted. Faint, unsharp, bluish gray...

I've said the same since this "prettyfying" bull began. Icons used to look like traffic signs. Stong, basic colors and stong symbols, good contrast. And that's how they should look. When I look at the tastkbar now I don't always know what programs I have running without clicking them up. Sometimes it's even hard to distinguish between different parts of a program interface. I happen to use a gray desktop (for a reason), so sometimes I don't even see where the program ends and starts to try to drag the desktop when I want to move the program window. biggrin.gif
