I am redesigning our school website around a template containing a centred table 800px wide. This appears fine on the laptop I am using for the design but when viewed on the school's wide screen monitors set to a higher resolution the content of the table is stretched horizontally. Is there any way around this problem Thanks |

In what way is the content stretched horizontally?
My experience with projectors is that they have lower resolution than the computer displays I'm used to. That causes fixed-width layouts to take up a larger portion of the display area, or to scroll if they're too wide. The solution is to use a fluid layout, rather than a fixed-width layout. This also helps avoid having the right side of the page cut off when you print the page. |
