HTMLHelp Forums _ Markup (HTML, XHTML, XML) _ Home page not scrolling

Posted by: amfarr Jul 23 2012, 03:18 PM

I'm working on a website with horrible markup. Tables and such as you will see. http://www.diffachicago.org/home.html

I'd really love to but don't have the time to redo the site. I only have time to do some little fixes to it.

Currently the home page doesn't scroll but the rest of the pages do. Is there a way I can hack this so that it does?

There is not that much content on the homepage that would make scrolling necessary. If you set your browser window to be high enough, you don't see nor need any scrolling. Less high and the scroll bar all appear.

A also thought of that, but several other pages are even shorter. unsure.gif

You might force a grayed out scrollbar with CSS "overflow-y: scroll".
