Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on some html email signatures for some clients of mine. I've made the phone number, address, logo and web address all clickable links and i've applied some css to remove the text decoration so that the links aren't underlined. The signatures look as they should in the email window and the links work etc. but when i send it to a co-worker as a text, the links are all underlined again. My html and css knowledge is pretty limited, but i wonder if i'm missing something obvious that would keep the underlines away. If anyone might know what the problem is, i would appreciate it if you let me know. Thanks, Paul. |

Two questions.
What does "a text" mean? An SMS or a plain text email? What do you actually send? The HTML or just the the text the HTML displays? Either way, I'm thinking it can be the email/SMS program's default styling of URLs you encounter. When you send your styled HTML email that is overridden. Same as if I type an URL here. The forum program will make it a link and style it as a link - http://htmlhelp.com. |

Yes it seems that gmail is overriding the css that i have applied. I thought perhaps it would work the other way around and the css that i applied would override any rules a particular email client would apply to it. Am i pretty much at the mercy of whatever rules a particular email client has? Thanks Pandy. |

Yes, your CSS should work. Where does gmail come into this? Is it you or your workmate that uses gmail? Webmail or through an email client?

My workmate uses Gmail and it only seems to be an issue with Gmail. I just want them to work across all email clients and if there are issues with Gmail, there will be issues with others. |

Hey Pandy. Sorry i haven't replied sooner. It might not be an issue anymore as the client might not need them. I appreciate your help though.
