Add a Sidebar to Tumblr Optica Theme, Is there a way to add a sidebar to the optica theme on tumblr? Options

So it's been a while since I've customized a layout on Tumblr, and I just made a new blog using the "Optica theme." I don't know if this is possible because of the way that theme is built, but is there a way to add a sidebar in addition to the header on the Optica theme? I think the design would look great with a fixed, small sidebar on the bottom left, and I've tried numerous ways to add a sidebar, but I can't seem to get one to show up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
