Hi,

I've created a template in photoshop for the wbsite I'm creating...I did it 800 x 600 72 resolution. I've cut it up and placed it in dreamweaver.

What I need to find out...how do I make page fill the whole browser regardless of the size. meaning...wehn I look at it on my screen it fills the whole screen...but my other computer it only fills 1/2 - 3/4.

I know about putting the 100% for page width....but then it distorts the picture. Should I be doing it a bigger resolution? Bigger size? Or is this not possible?

Thanks,

Tracey

Do you use a big image as a background or as the web page itself? Don't do that. happy.gif

You need to cut out or replicate the bits from you PS mockup that you want to stay as graphics. Images, buttons, whatever. Use them as inline images and background images but the rest should be HTML and background colors. I don't think I can express this in a good way, but most parts of the page shouldn't be graphical. If everything is pictures the page can't resize and reflow and adopt to the available space. Keep images reasonably small and avoid fixed widths in pixels and you are on your way.

Also see this FAQ and the links from there.
