I have several Gmail accounts. One of them suddenly doesn't let me fetch mail.

CODE
Task: Checking XXXXX
Status: Not Completed
Details: [AUTH] Username and password not accepted.
Completed: 7 %
Time: 2022-12-10 20:49:25

I haven't changed a thing and I have checked that the correct login details are still there. I can log in fine to webmail. It just affects logging in with my email program. My other Gmail accounts work fine.

I don't get it. Any ideas how to solve it?

When other email providers (like ISP email) have refused my email program's login data the fault has always been on their server end. tongue.gif Can't remember if webmail worked then or not.

Of course it's their fault. I don't expect to get any support though.

Or could your email program's saved login data have become corrupted somehow? You could always run chkdisk to see if your HDD doesn't have any damaged sectors, but it's a long shot.

Nah. But I guess I could "change" login details. First change to gibberish and then change back to to the real data. Or maybe change password through webmail. I'll see. I don't use that email address really, just one of those I use when I want to be extra anonymous.

F*ck. I'm sorry. For some reason it didn't work to use the back button and copy your original post. blush.gif

Maybe it will start working by itself then in a couple of days. It did for me.

Just watch out so they don't prohibit you from using the original details, "because they're already taken" or similar reason.

Yup, that's what I'm thinking. Since I don't use the account for anything even slightly important I can give it a week or so.

Have you tried writing to google support?
The system may have detected your request as pre-bearing.
