I have made a website which is online a couple of years. (www.ziltezinnen.nl) Now when I search on google by zilte zinnen the website is directly found by google but if I search for one of my keywords he didn't find it. I have put <meta name="keywords" content="Verhuur, Zeeland, vakantiewoning, ontspanning, rust, Goes, Kattendijke, Watersport, duiken, vissen, vakantie, noord-beveland, Oosterschelde, fietsen, vakantiepark, beau sur mer, uitwaaien aan zee, weekendje weg, ontdek Zeeland, wandelen, shoppen, er even tussen uit, mid-week, vakantiehuisje, overnachten, vlissingen, Yerseke, mosselen, oesters, logeren, genieten, uiteten"> on the head of my HTML by it doesn't seems to work. Can someone help me with it ?

Can the keywords also be found in the text on your site? If not, that's probably your problem. Keywords are really a thing of the past. Search engines are smart today.

Your site doesn't load right now, but I got a quick glimpse of it. I didn't have time to click all the links before it stopped working so I could be wrong, but my impression was you don't have much copy. It might serve you better than keywords to write a page about yourself, your business and what you can offer. Text is what google likes.

Search engines are smart today.

No they aren't, they just think they are. Once upon a time you could use a search engine to find out whether some word or other was used to mean something. Now you just get the output of some vast AS system, which calculates what it believes (given that it is supremely intelligent) what you (who are a total idiot) would want, in the language it believes you would want it. (Oh yes, "AS" is artificial stupidity)

But what you say is right of course, that search engines ignore keywords, because they are so easily abused.

Looking at the website, my first question of course is that I would love to go and stay there, but I wonder if there will be any mountains I can climb?

A couple of points:


This may put off possible customers. They do not really understand what it means, of course, but it looks dangerous. (Actually, unless you live in a country where it is dangerous for the government to find out you are contemplating a holiday in the Netherlands, there is no danger at all.) But updating to https is not very difficult and costs almost nothing.

You have a mailto link for email on many pages, but this will not work for probably most visitors. You also have a contact page, so you should make a link to that instead.

This is a personal opinion, but I *hate* those jquery (is it?) three panel things at the top, where you start looking, and what you are looking at slides off to be replaced by something else. It's pointless, and must surely irritate more people than just me. There are other bits of "jiggle", stuff that is happening just to confuse or irritate. When I mouse over the top menu, the colour changes, which is fine, but also the font size (or something), which makes the whole menu jiggle around. And why is there a hyphen between energie en en in energie en water? (Perhaps it is absolutely correct. My Dutch is not very good.)

Can I ask a question for personal reference: You have €140 in one place and 350 € somewhere else. Are both used more or less interchangeably?

Okay, thanks for letting me know. To be honest I though both of these would be impossible, but thanks for letting me know. If anyone could help me with the code now, or at the least have an explaination for it so I could share it with my website developers.

What code? The Meta tag? There is no magic trick with Meta.

Provide TEXT that google can index. That's the trick.
