You know how when someone does a Google search it returns a link as well as a short description? Well, if you want to preview what your site's listing will look like you can visit the Poodle Predictor.

Once you are armed with this information you can use it to help optimize your site for search engines.

This has been around for quite some time, and each time I have used it it hasn't given accurate results.

I just tested several of my sites that are already listed in Google and then compared the Poodle results against Google, and each time they were totally different.

I suspect Google are the only ones capable of producing an accurate tool of this nature, and even then, what with Google's constant algorythm changes, I suspect it would be out of date very rapidly.

Hmm. Well, that sucks. I only checked a couple of sites and they looked pretty accurate...

I'll do some digging later with a selection of sites to see how accurate it is. I only tested a few.

I'm interested to see just how accurate (or not so accurate) it is.
