HTMLHelp Forums _ General Web Design _ small simple website(presentation)

Posted by: mcvlad Apr 7 2020, 11:20 AM

Hi guys!
I m new here, and also almost all new to web design.
The reason i am here is a new really small and simple website i am thinking of making for myself.
I've only worked very little with dreamweaver and that was some years back.
What i need is to be able to showcase some of my work, jpegs mostly and some text and probably some nice visual effects like a video or gif background (maybe a dynamic background, where it may pull random pictures from a folder), an animated logo, things like that. It doesnt need to be dynamic or anything, just simple html and maybe some seo if possible for such a small project.
Now my question is if you guys can tell me if dreamweaver is good for this, or maybe i need other programs, and maybe point me to some good tutorials for this?
Sorry for the big text and thank you so much!
Stay safe guys!
McVlad

https://www.w3schools.com/

This is an excellent source for newbies.

Notepad ++ is a good tool for coding website pages from scratch. https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/

Take an HTML5 book out from your local library and you'll be coding like a champ in no time.

You need to do a lot of work to grasp the entire process of UI design and then take the user interface design manufactured with XD, Sketch, and so on and make it a near-pixel representation of the HTML and CSS browsers.

You will then spend all the time and energy on these web design tools and tutorials that are related to web design & development.

If there is no desire to understand a lot, then I advise you to use site designers, for example, I use the Elementor plugin for wordpress, as for me the best option, because on wordpress in the future it will be possible to expand the site and fine-tune it to your needs.

At the expense of training, you can watch on youtube, there are many videos on this topic.

Dreamweaver, it seems to me, is also suitable, but there are many disadvantages, as I looked

I agree, I also use this plugin.
