Hi, I'm no Pro, and can only just get to grips with basic dreamweaver stuff, so pleas no extreme "tech" talk lol
i'm trying to build a website at the moment, with a regularly updated news section (http://www.musicnewsuk.co.uk/news.html). The problem is i don't know how to update the news without having to copy/paste the links continually to make space on the front page - i'm not wording this very clearly but i hope you can see what i mean. Is there a way i can put content on the front page (and still maintain a max of 8 stories on the page) without having to cut/copy a story to make room for the new one - i can see this being a massive problem after 4/5 pages of news. any help would be HUGELY appreciated! With "front page", do you mean http://www.musicnewsuk.co.uk/news.html or http://www.musicnewsuk.co.uk/ ? You can do such things with server-side scripts (say PHP or ASP, usually combined with a database) but not with Dreamweaver alone. |

One of these prewritten news-posting CGI programs or prewritten news-posting PHP programs may meet your needs.
