I just used the WDG HTML Validator to check my code and the only error i had was this one:

Line 13, character 1:

<!- ************* BEGINNING OF PAGE HEADER CODE ************ ...
^

Error: text is not allowed here; try wrapping the text in a more descriptive container

There were several instances of this error report, one for each comment I have inserted into the HTML page (previoulsy there were no errors ... probably before I added comments)

I would be obliged if someone could explain why I am getting this error in validation?

Kind regards, James.

Try changing the comment start marker to <!-- (two hyphens). See if that fixes it / moves the problem...

It should. See http://htmlhelp.com/faq/html/basics.html#html-comments . Also, the comment should end with '-->'. I assume the '...' was just for the forum posting but what do I know. tongue.gif
