Yes you're getting much closer!!
Now you should check the page with a validator to clear up a few remaining errors. There's a few structural errors. To start you should declare a DOCTYPE then follow the validator explanations to fix whatever else it indicates. This should ensure that all browsers hopefully get it right. |

take the <BR> out of the second line in the doctype and you'll be there.

Ok, I got the validator to realize that I made it HTML 4.01 Transitional but at the top of the validator it says "This document is NOT HTML 4.01 Transitional." And then there's a bunch of errors that I'm not sure what to do about.

Then you might prefer WDG's validator with "Show input" checked (just follow the link). Then in the input, you'll find links to different sections of the HTML Reference for more information on an element.
As for the ALT error, go read the Use of ALT texts in IMGs article. That should help you get on the way. |
