Get a domain = the name of the domain. http://mydomainname.com, you buy these through a domain registrar.
webhosting = arrange for a web server to store your files and databases and deliver them through the internet when they are requested. You rent this from a web hosting provider. You put your files on the web server, you register the domain, and then after that's setup (there are some setup steps the web hosting provider can help you with), when a user requests the domain name they will receive the files that you put on your web server.
