I just redid the front page of my site using the AnyLink Drop Down Menu from Dynamic Drive (www.dynamicdrive.com). It works great any time i look at the site both on mac and pc- but my customers keep saying that they can not see it. The only browser I haven't seen it in is Explorer.
Can you see it? Do you know what I need to change for everyone to see it? My Website is http://www.shanstan.com/ |

FWIW, I can't see it. Opera 9.23 / Linux
Ah, I _can_ see it in Firefox. Have you tried checking the java script: I notice that there are two sorts of entry... onMouseout="delayhidemenu()<disableclick" onMouseout="delayhidemenu()disableclick" ... neither of which looks valid to me. And worse there is no > to close the <a> tag before <img...>. So I expect random browsers just happen to handle these errors in the same way. Check carefully if you have copied it correctly, and if you have, try complaining, or writing an appropriate critique wherever people talk about this stuff. |

JavaScript-based menus don't work when JavaScript is disabled/unavailable.

Yeah, but this doesn't work when JS is enabled either.
Don't see it in IE6 and Opera 9.51 on Windows. Do see it in K-Mel. IE reports 3 JavaScript errors. |

JavaScript-based menus don't work when JavaScript is disabled/unavailable. I suppose that CSS-based menus don't work when CSS is disabled/unavailable, either. In fact, for any X, X-based menus don't work when X is disabled/unavailable, I should think. That doesn't seem to be a very helpful comment: what seems to be vastly more important is that if X is not available, and an X-based menu doesn't work, there is an alternative means of navigating, for any value of X. Of course, I doubt if html-based menus work when html is disabled/unavailable, since after all 'html' is a value of X, isn't it? |
