Ok the situation is, I had to make a .gif file in Macromedia Fireworks and Freehand which I was able to do. Then I was suppose to upload it onto my schools servers because we can all make our own sites ( http://web.njit.edu/~jjb7/ if anyone wants to check it out its under assignment 4, but its so basic and boring I doubt anyone will be impressed) anyway, I was able to upload the .gif and it works fine the code I have on the page so far is....

<html>
<head>
<title>Logo</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
</head>
<body>
<p><a href="Logo.gif">Watch Logo</a></p>
</body>
</html>

simple right? Well the annoying thing is she also wants us to put the .png file (the Macromedia Fireworks File) up so she can download it. Thats what I'm having trouble with, I got the .gif file to work fine its just this file doesn't seem to want to work right, anyone got any advice or idea how I should code this right?

Well, where did you upload the PNG logo? I tried the obvious capitalization permutations ({logo,Logo,LOGO}.{png,Png,PNG}) but they all came back 404 Not Found.

If she wants the raw Fireworks file, just Zip then upload it to a directory (for instance "files") and give her the address.

http://web.njit.edu/~jjb7/files/example.zip

She can download it and check it in Fireworks . . . if that's what you're asking.

png file should show like any other image file, only problem with it is IE6 cant read transparent png files IE7 can als FF can.
unless server itself you#re uploading to is instructed to reject png files.
