Hi,
I have a Website already on the Web with a domain through a hosting company that I have used for years. I had an old Vista computer that I was able to use Microsoft Expression Web software on. Now that I replaced that computer with one running Windows 10. I find that Expression Web no longer works and they have discontinued the software. Does anyone know a good free software I can use that is similar? I need to see the HTML code and the page. I also need to be able to bring in Word documents to convert to Web pages. So far I have only come across HTML editors, but they only show the code like in notepad.
Thank you!

If 'Microsoft Expression Web' is some kind of web server software then Windows 10 comes with IIS, which is also web server software. Is that what you mean?

Have you tried running it in Windows compatibility mode: https://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001894.htm ?

Kompozer used to be relatively OK: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KompoZer

Not even Microsofts own products used to do a good job with that. It's way better to redo the pages from scratch.

That sounds like a text editor, those are the best tools but of course require knowledge of HTML and CSS.

I think it's the successor of MS Frontpage.

Oh, if that's the case then I can't help.

I think it was the program that replaced FrontPage.

Discovered recently that Kompozer also is discontinued and has been so a number of years. There was some talk about http://bluegriffon.org/ , but I don't know anything about it.

8cats, you say you need to see the HTML code and the page. That sounds like you aren't so interested in the WYSIWYG feature at all. So what's wrong with using a HTML or text editor and view the pages in real browsers? Or did I misunderstand and you do want WYSIWYG?
