https://mullvad.net/en/browser
https://blog.torproject.org/releasing-mullvad-browser/ Seems similar to Tor Browser except that Mullvad is not spoofing its IP, so I'm not sure how useful it will be on its own. Apparently it's meant to be combined with a VPN, assuming you can trust VPN providers to not be honeypots... Or perhaps you could use it through public Wifi hotspots? |

Maybe it's meant to be used together with their VPN?

Yes, I think they stated that themselves (though other VPNs may work too).
But Tor Browser should work with VPNs as well (on top of the Tor Network), so I don't see the difference there. |

Mullvad has been around a long time. I considered it, oh, more than 10 years ago, but something put me off. Could have been something banal like the price, I don't remember.
[EDIT] Sorry, I misread. I thought you said you thought they STARTED that themselves. |
