Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me. I am trying to adjust the width of the right column, but it will only get as big as it is showing. I have changed the margins and padding and width, but it stays the same. I am able to change the left column with no problem at all. I would like the two columns to be about 50% so that there are 2 t-shirts in each row. I am viewing it in IE8 and Firefox.

My page is: sister shirts

HTML:
CODE
    <tr><td class="half">
<!--big sister t-shirts Cho-->
<div class="fr2">
<a title="big sister shirt - chocolate" href="http://www.thecozycactus.com/big-sister-shirt-cho.html"><img src="p/big-sister-shirt-cho.jpg" width="115" height="135" alt="big sister shirt"></a>
<br><a title="big sister shirt - chocolate" href="http://www.thecozycactus.com/big-sister-shirt-cho.html">Big sister shirt<br>chocolate</a></div>
<div class="hrt"></div><h2>Big Sister t-shirts - Chocolate</h2>
<p>Pretty <b>big sister</b> t-shirt with attached bow. "Big Sister," "Little Sister," or "Baby Sister."  $15.95<br><br>
More info:  <a title="chocolate big sister shirt" href="http://www.thecozycactus.com/big-sister-shirt-cho.html">Chocolate "Big Sister shirt, Little/Baby Sister" shirts</a>
</p>        </td>
        <td class="half2">
<!--big sister t-shirts, Korker-->
<div class="fr2">
    <a title="big sister t-shirt - bow" href="http://www.thecozycactus.com/big-sister-t-shirts-bow.html"><img src="p/big-sister-t-shirt_bow.jpg" width="115" height="135" alt="big sister Shirt & korker hair bow"></a>
<br><a title="big sister shirt - chocolate" href="http://www.thecozycactus.com/big-sister-shirt-cho.html">Korker Big Sister<br>t-shirt</a></div>
<div class="hrt"></div><h2>Big Sister t-shirt & Korker Hairbow</h2>
<p>Adorable <b>Big Sister, Little Sister & Baby Sister</b> matching korker hairbow/shirt sets!<br>
Set:  $22.95, t-shirt Only:  $15.95<br><br>
More info:  <a href="http://www.thecozycactus.com/big-sister-t-shirts-bow.html">Korker "Big Sister t-shirt set, Little/Baby Sister" t-shirts/Set</a>
</p>        </td>    </tr>

CSS:

CODE
.half    {padding:0 0 20px 15px;vertical-align:top;text-align:left;width:260px}
.half2    {padding:0 5px 20px 15px;vertical-align:top;text-align:left;width:255px}

.fr    {
float: right;
margin: 0 0 20px 30px;
text-align:center;
}

.fr2    {
float: right;
margin: 0 0 20px 10px;
text-align:center;
}

Any ideas? Thank you!

The top row cells are specified by the rules for td.tlp and td.trp

Later row cells are specified by the rules for td.half and td.half2

You specify different widths, but tables don't work that way. All the cells in the same column of a table must be the same width.

Thank you! There is a light bulb shining brightly over my head!

I never connected that, but that info will help me solve a lot of problems I have had. I put my too columns in a new table which spans the whole width and it is working fine now.

I really appreciate your help. You're awesome!

I have to agree. biggrin.gif

A little tip - turn borders on on all tables while designing. That way you don't have to visualize the grid, you can actually see it. It makes it pretty obvious where something is wrong.
