The menu on this site does not display correctly in Chrome. In IE 11 it appears to be fine, but for some reason in Chrome the menu categories appear below the gray boxes. I know the code is very old, but the syntax still appears correct to me. Any ideas as to why it is not displaying correctly in Chrome (and likely other browsers)? I have attached a screenshot of what it looks like in Chrome.

OK, making good progress! The gray bg boxes are still quite a bit bigger than before and the text is aligning to the bottom in Chrome, but not in IE.

You still have nested tables and other unnecessary HTML and CSS. Get rid of all the BR tags. I've realized at long last it's those that forces the text line down in Chrome. There is no point of using line-height when you only have one line. To space things out you use padding and/or margin.

OK, I will see if I can reduce the HTML and CSS on that page for a better result. I also found that the main menu across the top wraps in IE (Contact appears on the second line). The Reviews page also looks goofy. The reviews on the right side are crossing over to the left. See the inserted image: |

OK. But start with those BR tags and stop nesting tables. You only need one table.
BR tags should rarely be used at all and absolutely not for creating space. Typically you only need them to ensure a line is very short when a block level element like P isn't motivated. Like maybe in a poem. |
