Here is the viewport that I am using within the <head> section and a link to a pic of the result on my Huawei P30. It is similar on my tablets and my Samsung S4 mini...
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1"> https://ibb.co/D4LbGYd The problem is the very narrow presentation. It should be occupying most of the screen width. I have been working with this document for years on different computers, using MS Word or different "compatible" software and I have not seen this before. I ran a backup which worked correctly back in May and it now shows the same result. It all works as expected on a desktop PC. Has anybody else seen this? Is there a fix? That sounds like a very convoluted way of doing things, even assuming it does produce perfect HTML files. Why not write the HTML yourself from the start?

I see the problem, but it has nothing to do with the viewport Meta tag. It's something in the linked CSS. Of course the content is an image so it won't be wider than the image, 900 pixels something.
Convoluted, yes. You don't need all that markup and other stuff to display one big image and a row of icons... Also, if you want people to find this page you may want to use real text instead of an image of text. |
