My computer has broken down. Yeah, again. I just bought a very slightly used one with a lot better components that I would otherwise afford.
It comes with Win 10 (Pro), I think. The guy hated it himself and recommended me to install 7 or 8 instead. 7 seems the least annoying, but support ends in less than 3 years. 8 seems pretty horrid too. So maybe I should just go with 10? I've read about the murder of the start menu, that updates are forced and that you have no control of what and when. Is it as bad as I've heard? |

Talking about uninstalling, if I get rid of the silly apps and programs I don't want, they will just push them on me again, right? Haven't checked actually. At least they stay away from the Start menu. It's perhaps a good idea to check settings after major updates, some say they can get reset. QUOTE Can you explain to me how I can have two desktop.ini side by side though? I don't even get one ini, despite showing hidden files (I recall Vista displayed them, though). Is it something that the Classic Start menu added? |

Dunno. I found and installed that one right off. Have you tried it? I like it. If you Shift-click you get the normal windows 10 menu, both worlds.
