I have a website, (low traffic, but i still dont wanna say its url yet) and i need to know how to link to a search query on a website. for example, a link that takes you to google.ca and searches for "GOOGLE". I know its possible, ive done it before, but cant remember how to.

The site i want it to link to is :

http://maplestory.nexon.net/modules/rank/r...&depth1st=3

theres a searchbar on that page. you might understand it better if u go there, but u dont have to. If u get a working version, i would give you credit on my site.

Thanx in advance for your help.

No thanks. I suggest you take your question to the Bill Gates fanclub site, wherever that is.

Yes, here's an idea: see the text at the top of this page - it says "... Making the Web accessible to all."

Just surf the web looking for a site that helps people prop up M$'s illegal monopoly by making IE-specific webpages.

(Incidentally, I can't find the Firefox menu thingie for pretending to be Exploder. Is there one? Opera pretending to be IE6 doesn't seem to work either.)

Hmmm... It must be some JavaScript nonsense. Either that or it likes Opera.

Anyway, the form on the page in question uses method="post" so you can't link to the search results. (I tried feeding it search terms in the query string anyway, but it doesn't accept it.)

The OP isn't the one that has designed that site. It's a Korean gaming company.

BTW, people make anti-MS pages too that only work in FF or Opera or Konqueror. Are they any better than the rent-a-FUD crowd you're decrying?

The company that runs Maple Story, Wizet, have made their pages Internet Explorer only because both the login part of their game and the "shop" where you buy in-game items from both run off an Active-X control.

Because the game is free to download and play, it has attracted its fair share of hackers and bots (It has over 50 million players).

So, they've done it for what they think are integration and anti-hacking reasons to protect the integrity of their login system, not out of any admiration for Bill Gates, Windows or any other popular and/or FUD reasons.

So, Brian Chandler, are you a sadder and wiser man now? smile.gif

Actually, I think that's worse because it's done out of spite. IE only sites often come about because of ignorance, or rather incompetence if professionals are involved. Ignorance is a much nicer quality in a man than spite. tongue.gif

I remember how disappointed I was when one of the main FF developers ran a blog where IE was redirected to page saying something like "Get a browser that shows the Wab as it was meant to be seen". All to look at his old invalid nested tables layout.
