Full Version: Problem with quotation marks
HTMLHelp Forums > Web Authoring > Markup (HTML, XHTML, XML)

Hi there, i have a silly question, but it got me thinking.
I don't know if it is because I'm on a mac, or because I'm using this DeskPM blogging tool, but whenever i want to code something and I use the quotation marks for an attribute this happen, with this I mean that quotation marks are lie in an "italic" format, not straight

And the code doesn't work, then i do it again but when i type them i press the right arrow to get out of this yellow thing:

and then i see them straight like this and the code works.

I hope I'm making myself clear.

Any ideas?

Yeah, smart quotes. Can't have those.

What is this DeskPM? A smartphone app? Do you write your markup directly in that, or do you use something else first and then paste it in DeskPM?
