Hey forum,

I am currently working on an html file for Internet Explorer (really for an html help file, which is why I say specifically for Internet Explorer)..

The table's vertical scrollbar is always visible (which is perfect), but is inactive when there isn't enough content (or the window isn't small enough) to require it. Unfortunately, when the scrollbar becomes active the right margin (or padding) of the <td> increases drastically. I currently have the padding-right of the <td> set high enough to avoid text overflowing behind the scrollbar (since IE's scrollbar is displayed inside of the content), and it is as if the active scrollbar is doubling the padding/margin.

I should also point out that the content within the <td> wraps with the window size.. if I were to add a nowrap to the <td> the "jumping" white space issue would stop. This, of course, will not work as a solution, but may help you determine the cause.

Any ideas? And thank you all ahead of time.
