Hi all!

I need to make a autorun cd opening in a fullscreen from an html file.

I have a big html site that needs to be in a cd and autorun in fullscreen.

I know that for the autorun i need to use something like autorun.ini, but for the fullscreen i dont know how to do it.

Please help me if you know how or give me a link to a possible solution.

Thank you very much in advance!

This used to be possible using javascript many years ago. Today I suspect you can only make your own browser do it (google for "kiosk mode" and your browser brand).

Dear Christian J

What about just autorun the html file without the fullscreen? do you know how to do it?

Thank you!
Christian J
No experience, but try e.g. http://www.cryer.co.uk/brian/windows/howtocacdtwar.htm or http://www.phdcc.com/shellrun/autorun.htm

If your page contains Flash or Javascript you should also read http://www.phdcc.com/xpsp2.htm

Here's another exe that if my memory serves me doesn't show an annoying window as ShellRun does. Look for Autorun about half the page down.

Doesn't Windows warn you about running program files then?

BTW, I put an autorun.inf file on a USB stick, but my antivirus program didn't let me run that. I suppose the disc drive is trusted more, since I've never seen such warnings before. mellow.gif

Strange, since almost every software CD you get is made autorun. Are you warned about those too?
Christian J
No, no warnings for the disc drive.

Maybe security has been sacrificed for convencience, because I don't see much difference between installing malware from a CD or USB stick, except that the stick is faster.

Sorry, misread again. Yeah, why not? After all your local drives are considered less secure than the Internet when it comes to JS. tongue.gif
