Hello,
I am hoping someone can give me some advice. I have uploaded a site I am building to:
www.videoshoot.co.nz/help/menu_test.html
(there may be some buggy code in their as I stripped out a lot of extraneous stuff to leave only the part causing the problem)
I am using IE8. Ideally looking for a solution that is not dependent on the browser.
I have created a fixed pixel table (rather than relative percentages). The problem is my images arent sitting right in the table.
Looking at the big red image to the left - thats ok.
But the black box and text should be top aligned - but it wants to sit aligned to the bottom of the red box.
It doesnt seem a lot to ask - to have the black image top aligned?
Another smaller and I think identical problem is the ABCDEFG line. It should be EXactly 18 pixels high, but it decides it should be about 21 pixels.
I believe from doing google searches that it has something to do with inline images and the fact that some "tails" on text want to sit below the "baseline".
But - other people seem to have complicated table structures with huge psd's that are sliced very minutely and they are having no problems.
Any thoughts appreciated.
Peter
