Hello! I am working on creating a web page for the family business. I have quite a bit of it set up but i am having trouble making my inventory fully accesible similiar to how ebay has it set up. Is there anybody out there than can give me some information on how to do it properly?

Thanks so much

Perhaps one of these CGI or PHP shopping-cart programs will meet your needs:

Thank you. If I am using a site such as register.com; is it necessary to purchase a shopping cart from an outside source? I think I may have to use the shopping cart that they provide. Is that so?

I couldn't say for sure, but from the look of it you can use what you want. They don't state what languages that come with their plans, but they do have MySQL which would be pretty pointless on its own. If that's not the case, choose a host that offers what you need.

Thanx a bunch. Who is, in your opinion, best for a domain? I paid for register but I hear a lot about godaddy. Maybe it's best if I use dreamweaver. Another question I have is if a web site of that nature can be 100% plug and play. I would like something that I can manipulate without having to write my own HTML XML or Css. I need to find something that is quick and easy.

There are two different things involved here really. You buy your domain through a registrar. Then you need a host to provide the server where you put your site.

Nowadays some registrars also offer hosting and many hosts sell domains, most often as resellers for a big registrar. But there is no reason whatsoever that you should host with someone just because you buy your domain through them. IMHO it's better not to host with the registrar. My thinking is that a dedicated host should be better because hosting is their main business. It also happens that registrar-hosts try to lock your domain in in case you want to move. I'm not saying that's the rule, but it happens.
