Full Version: Weird behaviour in Internet Explorer

I have a site here: http://12words.com.au/index.php

The front page is having some major issues with IE (all other pages fine which makes me think it's the tabbed box at the top causing the problem)

Page loads unusually slowly
Page freezes if you try to click anything whilst loading
Page freezes if you try to scroll
Nothing on the website is clickable whilst loading/frozen
IE has actually stopped responding a few times

None of this happens in any other browser and I'm completely at a loss on how to fix it sad.gif

Yeah, happens in my old IE6 too and the processor works up a sweat.

I was going to guess on the JS errors, but when I downloaded your page and viewed it locally it turned out it works if I remove the comment above the doctype. The comment puts IE in Quirks Mode. That usually doesn't have a this bad effect, but it seems that's it. Worth a try. And fix the JS errors anyway. Take the HTML errors and CSS errors too while you're at it. wink.gif
