I have created a "Members Only" section on my website using Microsoft Expression Web 2. I ended up saving the webpage as a .aspx to get the login to work. I am needing to create a form that a user can fill out and submit to other users- for example a memo form that one user could select another user to send the form to. Likewise, I have to have the member who gets the form, have a page that such forms would collect.

I am totally clueless on how to start- do you know of any tutorials that can show me what to do?

Some kind of Instant Message system?

No- more of like an HTML form that when you click "Submit" it sends it to another user's "inbox"

Yeah, that's what IM does. I don't mean applications that run on your computer as ICQ and so on, but as the message system here at the forum. smile.gif

Okay- so how do I do that?

I don't know. If you are lucky you can maybe find something already written, but I don't think there are many scripts like that around since PM is usually part of something bigger, like a forum. You could look around at for example http://hotscripts.com, but I don't really know in what category to start.

Also, I used the wrong term. What we are talking about is of course called PM - Private Messages - not IM. Sorry. blush.gif

I should have said you need some kind of serverside scripting and a database to this.
