I'd like to know what you all use (a program? a language? Other (like online service) to create site specific search engines? I'm trying to decide - and I'd like one I can use myself - without a subscription (one time pay if not free) and use on multiple site- some of which are over 50 pages (a common limit on the "economy" engines I have found) and does not insert ads.

Thanks,

Ev

Perhaps one of these CGI site-search programs or PHP site-search programs will meet your needs:

Don't remember if you are on Windows? This is unusual in that you do the indexing from your own machine (but it spiders the files on the server).
